"Fire in the Western Cape"
During the long hot Mediterranean-type summers, the vegetation of the Western Cape becomes extremely dry and burns very easily. One group of plants that is stimulated to flower due to the clearing of the tall vegetation, are the bulbous plants.
Here are a series of pictures taken during the autumn and spring after a summer fire.
